The service arm of NES boasts one of the most comprehensive facilities for mobility solutions in the country. NES assist more than 2000 people with mobility and rehabilitation needs across NSW each year. We have a number of specialized services on offer at NES:

Wheelchair and Manual Handling Equipment Maintenance
Our trained technicians repair and maintain manual and powered wheelchairs as well as hoists and some electric beds. A mobile service for visits to private homes, hospitals and community centres operates throughout Sydney, the Central Coast, Hunter and between Central Coast and Hunter Regions.

Customised Seating
Experienced clinicians offer a wide range of customised seating solutions, beginning with a thorough assessment of the needs of an individual and using a variety of methods to manufacture the required seating.

Orthotics
For more specialized support needs, the NES orthotist team prescribe and provide custom-made orthotic products or modified off-the-shelf products. Both of these services run regular clinics in regional areas, which is extremely beneficial to those living in rural NSW.

Customised Footwear
Our resident bootmaker has over 25 years experience in custom made footwear that is designed and made for clients who require orthopaedic hand-made footwear.

Manufacturing
We manufacture two innovative products:

• The M stick - a lightweight mouth stick which can be use for a variety of tasks including typewriting and turning the pages of a book.
• The FreeWheeler - a special wheelchair designed for use on the beach, water areas and the snow. Constructed from non-corrosive, marine-grade stainless steel tubes with nylon and stainless steel bearings, the FreeWheeler gains its multi-terrain mobility thanks to pneumatic balloon tyres.
