Meet Northcott's 2010 Client Ambassadors

Riana Head-Toussaint - Riana is 17 years old and is currently completing year 12. Riana was 10 months old when she was in a car accident which resulted in her disability; paraplegia. Riana loves to hang out with her family and friends, bodyboarding, tanning and listening to music.

"Northcott has helped me out so much all throughout my life. Most recently, they assisted my family and I in modifying our kitchen, which was a huge slog, taking 3 years to complete. Without their tireless perseverance I'm sure it would never have happened at all. They have helped me with getting my wheelchairs, seating plans, physiotherapy, other home modifications to the bathroom and ramps, the list goes on. Everyone there is always so friendly and understanding, and they always go the extra mile to make everything as comfortable and agreeable as possible. Their services mean so much to my whole family and I, which is why i applied for a position as client ambassador; so that i could give something back to Northcott".

 
Tony Petrin - Tony is 22 years of age and is living with mild cerebral palsy. Tony has been using Northcott Disability Services for over eight years, and throughout this time he has used many services, including Jobmatch and Adult Recreation.

"The Adult Recreation Service has allowed me to go on a three day hike in Tasmania, ski camp, outback 4WD trip to the Simpson Desert, fishing, sailing and sports recreational camps at Jindabyne and Berry. Jobmatch has helped me get a job, which I have been in for four years now. As you can see from the activities I have completed through Northcott, my hobbies are focused around outdoor activities. These activities also allow me to socialise with my peers, another important part of my life".
