New wheels changed Wendy's world thanks to the generousity of donors who heard her story at Northcott's 80th Anniversary Gala Ball.

Northcott Disability Services, in partnership with Parramatta City Council, celebrated International Day of People with Disability on Thursday, 3 December, at Church Street Mall, Parramatta.

For the first time in his life nine-year-old Richard Zhao, who is living with cerebral palsy will be able to push himself around in a wheelchair, gaining independence to engage in the world around him.

Northcott Disability Services held a birthday picnic for clients, family, staff and friends to celebrate 80 years of disability services on Sunday, 8th November 2009. Entertainment on the day included face painting, music, games, clowns, a petting zoo and the chance to meet Northcott’s mascot, Spinasaurus.

Come along and celebrate the roaring 20’s with Northcott Disability Services at Club Marconi on Saturday, 23 May 2009. The celebrations are in honour of Northcott Disability Services 80th year of providing services to people with a disability and their families and carers. The money raised will go towards Northcott’s Adult Recreation Service, which receives no government funding.

Northcott Disability Services 13th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch witnessed a new legendary team for Australian cricket take the pitch to support and raise much needed funds for children and young adults with disabilities. Held in Northcott’s 80th year, the lunch was on Friday February 20 at Dockside – Cockle Bay Wharf Darling Harbour and raised over $100,000 to provide 600 nights of respite care to children and young adults with disabilities.

Teenagers with a physical disability who use Northcott Disability Services Recreation program, will be the first in Australia to have access to the ParaGolfer, an innovative all-terrain special mobility device that enables people who use a wheelchair to be lifted from a sitting position to a standing position.
